I’ve noticed a local opening for central transport in my area and have considered applying but I haven’t seen a lot of info about the company I’ll be honest when saying it’s not my first choice of companies, but finding an LTL company that’s hiring in my smaller area of Missouri is pretty much non existent right now

Central Transport is hiring in my area (Tifton Ga) starting at $24 hourly, but a couple of the reviews state that they don’t pay overtime until you’ve worked 55 hours How true is this? It’s a local job (I have no desire to do OTR), and doing the math, I would still earn more from a 50 hour work week than I would at my current job at $18

Ok, according to google Transforce acquired Vitran However, since the controlling body of Central Transport (Manuel "Matty" Moroun) also controls the Ambassador Bridge, I'm sure they're cooperating with each other vigorously now because Transforce is supposed to be one of if not the biggest transport and logistics company in Canada

Central is a half ##### carrier that has been around and beat down for some time The last couple of years they have been investing in new equipment and it honestly looks like they're getting better That said, expect that the facilities that you go to are straight up ghetto The last one I went to was using 4x4's as checks
