- New Cohesion board, K40 laser only fires on test switch, not on panel . . .
Machine: K40, Came with a HT XC ON 9 (very similar, if not identical to the HT master) Used HT master install instructions for Cohesion board Board: Laserboard Firmware: Smoothie…that’s what it said on it I don’t know what smoothie is But it works 🙂 Problem Question: I am NOT an expert with wiring etc I’ve tried looking through some similar threads and could not understand

I have a K40 that has been working well for me and was going to upgrade it to the cohesion board Then I inherited a working Universal ULS-25 Laser that actually works but has an air cooled 25watt laser and uses an old printer connection This thing is large and very well built compared to my K40 and has a nice big motorized table in it I want to gut the Air Cool and install a 60Watt Water
- Amp meter needle moves but theres almost no power from the laser
I run LightBurn 1 2 01 and everything works except that when I press “start” on a job the head moves and (interestingly) the Amp meter needle moves, but there’s almost NO POWER (low to no intensity) coming out of the laser no matter what power settings I use in LightBurn

My orginal K40 worked for 8 months no problems, then the power supply went (input only, probably mosfet or something) Pressing the test button on power supply fired the laser Bought a new supply which worked, but the laser tube was putting out TWO beams, not one, right at the laser tube output Google search told me the tube was faulty After 6 weeks haggling with Vevor who I bought the unit

@paulf8080 - Linux is open source but that doesn’t mean that everything that runs on it is open source LightBurn, for example, is not open source and it runs on Linux just fine as we provide a pre-compiled binary version LightBurn uses some libraries that have open source versions but it has licensed the commercial versions of those libraries, allowing it to be used in a pre-compiled form
- Can the board be pre wired for plugnplay?
Also, I do not plan on installing z table or rotary attachment, but i would like to replace my existing stepper motors to increase engraving speed - can you advise on how many External Stepper Drivers and what type of nema17 motors should I get?

I have a Full Spectrum Pro Series 24 with a 90watt tube FS has told me that the control board is out (after a month of troubleshooting) They have advised that i ship the entire unit to them for replacement I would like to fix it without spending $2,500 Will the C3D controller work with this unit? If so, are there other pieces that I will need to add along with the board?

K40 M2 Nano C3D Laserboard Firmware:"I have a new board and I’m using whatever it came with I have just installed a new C3D Laserboard on my 4 month old K40 So far, I have gone through the documentation of setting up my bed size and configuration the best I could via the docs guidelines I am not clear as to the exact model of my stock K40 Stepper motors so I am including pictures of that
