Just bought a 1983 Scrambler and doing some restoration to it I want to get 35's on it but need to add a lift kit I have been told that Skyjacker has the best ride but also should look at Old Man Emu Need some experienced Scramblers with some advice on these lift kits with the softest ride

If you're looking for a smaller 5 speed you may want to consider an NV3500 It's similar in rating to the AX-15 They came behind 4 8L engines It was never offered behind a 5 3 Torque rating is right around 300 ft-lbs so it won't likely stand up to sustained hard abuse behind a 5 3 Bolts right up to the 5 3 with stock parts at very reasonable prices I adapted it to the D300 using a new input

Had Alcan 4" on a CJ 5 loved them rode way better than the Scrambler Neither was shackle reverse As for Sway bars I had disconnects on both The Scrambler I unhooked and rehooked a couple of times unhooked and removed the sway bar The CJ 5 unhooked and rehooked a couple of times, hooked them up and never unhooked again as long as I owned it

I picked up an ACME brand hard top over the weekend It is misssing two of the latches on the driver's side Does anyone here have any extras I can get or know where I can find good replacements :cheers:

I used a ford version T18 in my cj-7 It bolts to the stock bellhousing, uses stock pressure plate and flywheel, ford disc, and an advance adapter plate on the rear for the t case to bolt to The adapter aint too much (cant remember now) and you can find these trannies in the junk yard easy enough
