After doing all this I realized the cdi is not the original one for the atv It is a no name one with one plug that matches the warrior but a few others that were cut and ran directly to the stator wires which also don't match a 88 stator wiring The atv did run before with the cdi and stator The issue I'm having is I have no clue which wires go where as I unhooked them and lost the list they

My CDI box has 12 wires and I believe it is a 90-95 also my stator has 7 wires please any help is much appreciated a CDI box wiring diagram with wire description particularly would be awesome Thanks

97 cdi is not the same as yours, I believe 98 thru 02 are the same, I'll check, I may have one from an 01, but Yamaha changed flywheels and cdi's thru different years, the wrong one won't fire the correct timing, if it fires at all, it will backfire I also have a manual to download if you need one

I have reached my wits end on what to do regarding my CDI box I have a 2004 YFZ 450 that I am working to get back in running condition to sell and continue having an issue with the CDI box I have replaced the CDI box several times in the past month while making minor changes to the electrical
- Can I put any year wiring harness, stator, CDI, etc. . .
I noticed on my 2001 that I bought, the CDI is a very old style Also the stator-to-wire-harness connections are made by crimp connectors This would mean the plugs wouldnt have matched up so he cut the wires and spliced them by hand Basically will any year CDI, STATOR, HARNESS, work with any year bike if the wires are spliced like this?
