The yoke style mechanism does what it is supposed to and I can now move the capo freely and the tuning stays exactly the same, assuming the guitar was in tune to begin with, of course

Cut Capo Confusion! General Acoustic Guitar DiscussionI thought a cut capo was supposed to emulate DADGAD tuning so if I wanted to play a song in standard, and then quickly change to a "DADGAD" sound, I could just whip the capo on and play away So I got my cut capo today, put it on the 2nd fret, and tried playing songs I know in DADGAD relative to the capo NOT what I was expecting! I
