In my experience all I can see is what you do on brightspace itself How long you’re on specific materials, what course materials you open etc it seems to be just local to our course site I haven’t explored fully though because I don’t really care what my students are doing in other tabs etc

Brightspace is a bit more difficult to pick up and use, and is highly dependent on the instruction staff configuring it properly, but if both of those things are satisfied then Brightspace is much more useful than Blackboard ever could be

In Brightspace, select your class, then click your profile icon on the top right corner Select “Progress” and then under Discussions choose “Posts Authored” It will show you every discussion post and reply you’ve written for that class

It does seem a bit draconian, and perhaps a privacy issue (if D2L actually provides that information, I do not know) On the other hand, what do you have to lose by following the instructions? Just take the exam as instructed without opening other windows It couldn't possibly be worth the risk of getting a zero to have another tab open to browse reddit while taking your exam It also doesn't
