Currently the boat has 99% of the existing paint on it, a few spots are bare aluminum from scratches and what not I’ve began feathering out any scratches to make the surface flush and once feathered I have used a vinegar water mix following by some etching primer out of a spray can

If you get a locking rear end and are careful a 2wd will handle "most" ramp situations I have seen some 2wd owners carry a set of traction mats just in case It really depends on the ramp, how deep you need to launch and the surface conditions I know of some ramps that a 2wd is fine and some where a 4wd is required I have

My side bunks mount with 2" receivers welded to the trailer so positioning of the bunk is set by the amount you slide into the receiver There is a bolt with a welded nut on the receiver that sets it into position I have a similar situation with a thru hull fitting that would hit a bottom bunk

Re: Keel repair on a aluminum boat How do I fix the keel runner on the bottom of the boat, it's hollow and worn through? This is what I was considering welding, that's the way the previous owner fixed a spot a little ways up on the same piece Is it possible to just buy a new on for this boat?
