I actually started this thread to ask about the various shades of blue I see that are all called "Washington Blue", and as I was researching for the thread it occurred to me that 1 true Washington Blue will appear different shades, depending on the lighting, and 2, slight differences in formulation result in slightly different shades, and this

Kinda like the old "aluma kote" from Blackjack I think they just did the first 12-13 inches of the pipes While the headers eventually turned blue and the chrome deteriorated he said they lasted 2-3 times longer than his first set before he had to replace them due to looking bad cosmetically

Sure I wouldn't paint a 39 Lincon Zepher with it but for something that will get used and scratched, I would rather redo the Rustolium every few years What would you rather look at gray primer or color? I say its a "real" paint job! Nice job I like the blue What are the plans for that cute little thing BBC and a Roth monster?

The Washington Blue we used was from PPG's "Concept" series There was an excellent original, unrestored '36 3W in Tardel's shop during the painting phase of the roadster build, and to my eyes it looked as though the paint on both cars had come from the same can (s)
