The way I did this was by disconnecting the interfaces so that Pro Tools was forced to look for the interface, because it wasn't able to initialize Whenever this happens, I select the interface, and the settings that I think will work, but it doesn't, because I immediately get the message about the DAE Buffer size

the browser choice app is the EU enforced browser choice, with windows 7 you could just delete it when you had picked your choice of browser but with windows 8 there doesn't seem to be any way to remove it, I think it comes as windows update KB967002
