With basecamp it always breaks into multiple small segments and direction reverses and ultimately any cleanup just removes major sections I've spent hours on is there a simple easy to use tool out there? Garmin Explore seems to have the same weakness that Basecamp did way back when, in that you had to lay individual bread crumbs along every contour of a trail or dirt road to record the track - it seems to STILL have no ability to deduce that if I click on each end of a dirt road that it will fill in the track, as Gaia does Is this a setting thing I'm missing? Basecamp was one of the reasons I didn't buy another Garmin, and I was rather proficient with Basecamp, having used it for 10+ years But when furkot and kurviger and osmand came along, I quickly moved away from Basecamp, and I'm not going back
- GARMIN 60Csx no longer recognized in Basecamp??
I have Basecamp 4 7 2 and it sees my 60Cx just fine I can transfer data correctly Garmin Express says it no longer supports the unit (as you mention) and suggests Webupdater That program is inlcuded in the Garmin suite installed on my PC There hasn't been a firmware update for the 60 series for awhile so you probably aren't missing anything

My new Zumo XT is connected to Garmin Express and must be connected in some way to Basecamp because Basecamp downloaded the maps from the XT However, it doesn't show under "My Devices" or in Finder on the Mac Garmin says some GPS units (like the XT) may not be recognized and needs "special software", but doesn't say what that might be

The only image overlay that will display in basecamp is an old park map from vintage fest (barber) from 2015 the draw order at 100 or 0 doesn't appear to make a difference

Anyway I transfer info by saving a file from Mapsource as a gdb and then read the file into Basecamp A little slower but it has always worked I have had some trouble trying to edit tracks in Basecamp by cutting and pasting to the track window I suspect Basecamp wants you to use the track cut and join tools #6 NMTrailboss, Aug 20, 2014 #7
