Okay, uncle!! Anyone else having issues connecting their Zumo XT device to Basecamp on their MacBook Pro? This combo does not work well It hangs

My new Zumo XT is connected to Garmin Express and must be connected in some way to Basecamp because Basecamp downloaded the maps from the XT However, it doesn't show under "My Devices" or in Finder on the Mac Garmin says some GPS units (like the XT) may not be recognized and needs "special software", but doesn't say what that might be

The reason the Tread can not use BaseCamp waypoint symbols, and never will, is because the Tread is an 'Automotive' Navigator, and BaseCamp was created primarily for use with 'Handheld Outdoor Recreation' navigators Two entirely different ecosystems within Garmin that do not work together Thanks, I was concerned that might be the case
