- Modbus on BYD LVS battery - DIY Solar Power Forum
my question is : does anybody controle and readout a BYD-homebattery using Modbus-TCP ? ANy link on the internet where I can find the proper modbus-registers ? Being new to Solar, my idea was to start by using existing of-the-shelf equipment : A Solaredge hybride invertor linked to a BYD LVS 8kWh battery Grid-connected

There are of course plug and play options, like the Pylontech H1 or BYD HVL that meet UL9540 In my case, I'm running the Seplos HItens ( pair in parallel for 40kwh ) just received with are half the cost of the UL9540 options The Hitens for the Solis S6 come in 10kwh, 15kwh and 20kwh options

I asked BYD and Pylon for the CAN HV protocol data No positive response Also i asked Deye about this My request needs to be approved (sigh) I’ve got a general document which i think Deye uses, but i can’t get it working The inverter does not recognize the data, maybe due to the fact i don't know if i implemented it correctly, and

I've got a BYD HVS battery system working with a Fronius Gen24 Primo Inverter The inverter battery management is set to auto which shows a operating range of 5%-100% (i e 95% DOD) I was wondering whether I should change to manual and set a DOD of 80% to extend the battery life The BYD technical data say 100% DOD is fine
