Fortnite keeps crashing before it even loads or when I join a match party, how can I fix this?

It takes forever to load up, and when it finally loads it says something like "failure when attempting to check service status " I've reset my router, restarted my ps5, and deleted reinstalled the game

I'm not sure about PC or Xbox, but on PS4 you can set your online status to Appear Offline, which prevents you from showing up in the PSN friends list as being online However this doesn't affect in-game lists, so anyone looking at their friends playing fortnite from within the client itself will still see you as being online
