I have been breaking in a new Bergara rifle for a friend with a 22 inch barrel that is doing good Started with H1000 and 175 nosler ABLR and didn't like accuracy or speed , so after 50 rounds switched to RL 26 and it went from 2930 to 3030 with same powder charge and shooting 1 2 to 3 4 inch with low ES and not much load development yet

I recently used Krud Kutterr to test how well it would remove bbl carbon Albeit it was on my muzzle loader It did a very good job of carbon removal on the first pass I have not used it on my rifle bbl as yet maybe tomorrow Having used CLR for carbon removal with good results I have also read forum concerns for CLR on blued surfaces

I have this rifle: Hawa M1500 Superlite 308 WIN 20" BBL walnut I bought it because it is the least expensive and lightest 308 you can buy new that has a wood stock (just not a fan of plastic) I'm finding it super sensitive to heat and if the barrel isn't allowed to cool off between every shot, it won't hold the MOA accuracy its capable of

Normally it should be the other way round, shouldn't it? Here in Norway custom gunmakers use mostly two types of barrels and one is for sure LW because of its outstanding quality for reasonable prices Don't forget, every year a couple of shooting contests are won by shooters using LW bbl', that much has to be said due to credibility!

I have a load that shoots1 2 moa in my rifles and a buddies An M P 15 16" bbl, an RRA 16" mid-length, and RRA Varmint with a 24" bbl I used brand new LC brass, 25 3g of Alliant's AR15 Comp powder, any primer, I tested Federal SRP, Winchester WSR, CCI 450 and Remmingtion 7 1 2 Bullets were the 52 SMK, 52 AMax, and 53g VMax bullets

28" is fine, depending on what your going to use the rifle for, carry, longrange, ect I have built many of them with 26" bbls+brake for carry rifles on elk hunts You can expect around 2900fps with a 26" bbl with the 300grn pill Longer bbl will get you into the 3000 range Dave
