As the last thread was getting long and today is the day because I’m traveling again to try to pickup my 96’ Bounder I need to ask you what is the complete procedure to check if a fuel pump is dead or alive What I already tried was: - disconnected the fuel line before it reaches the fuel filter

Found and replaced the fuel pump relay (has 12v into the secondary side, only 2 2v on the primary) Pulled the "roll over" switch and it checks out ok; I've also figured out that's the end of the pink wire from the fuel pump and is fed with a green yellow wire still with the 2 8v

Your vehicle's fuel pump relay is located on the relay center, behind the glove box, 2nd column of relays, 2nd one from the top look under the hood on fire wall or under dash on driver side

The pump is located inside the fuel tank and impossible to access without dropping the tank The major problem is in locating the power supply to the pump I have already looked for a location to wires etc that may lead to the pump, but without being able to find the fuse or relay and test from that point the job become more than difficult

If the primary fuel pump is working correctly and there are no restrictions in the fuel line, you should have about 32# of pressure at idle and about 40# of pressure at wide open throttle, while under load
