We've got a sparse acorn crop in Shelby County, so corn will and is working Yes, I have and will continue to hunt deer over corn while it remains legal IMO, there's no easier way to "pattern" and kill a deer (even a mature buck) than over a corn pile I also plant clover, alfalfa and winter food plots (approximately 12 acres worth)
- With the season closing | Kentucky Hunting
I had a great season Took 5 does and took a 10 point buck that I had patterned with trail cameras, rattled him in on 10-25, 5 yard shot He was the 38th different buck I saw this season, saw 6 more after taking him All with a bow The acorn crop was the strongest I've ever seen and the deer were in the oaks through December
