I think you actually might have found the problem, when aspen says stages dry up, it is because either liquid or vapor flow through that unit has reached 0 flow If your absorbent flow is too high, you might absorb all of the gas too quickly and dry the gas flow I would look at the profile as you build up the flow of absorbent and see if the gas flow gets near 0 at the opposite stage of the
