I have a 22re from a 91 2wd (canada) LC EGR block off plates the only thing i need to hookup is the fuel pressure regulator can i run a line from the TB to the vsv beside the thermostat and from the vsv straight to the regulator? hope that makes sense to someone

22re starts then dies (please help wheeler down) Okay I have searched all day so far and tried alot of different stuff on this engine I just built a complete 22re and did the efi swap at the same time The motor starts up and runs perfect for like 10 seconds and then dies You can rev it up but it will just kinda sputter out and die

Alot of the 22RE's on the trucks and on 22RE equipped cars have the fuel filter mounted on a bracket bolted to the side of the engine block under the intake side of the engine The fuel lines are torqued onto the filter pretty good and it is best to bust the fuel lines off first, then remove the bolts holding the filter to the block

the stock 22re exhaust manifold is actually pretty well designed sure, it looks ugly on the outside and is cast and such, but internally it is rather smooth and not at all like the standard domestic shit-flow designs what i mean is, common domestic is a log style or a very shot dump them all together within a couple inches such as on the V
