Maybe try to set things up by section of the city to minimize wasting time on travel For example if you want to see the 911 Memorial and Central Park, they are on opposite sides of the city so you'll waste so much time travelling

If you’re from Edison, then I recommend Edison NJT station > New York Penn Parking at Edison is $5 day I believe Round trip for adult is $26 50 and for kids, $12 I’ll always prefer public transit over driving, not only because of cost, but it avoids the stress and added time of traffic getting into the city

A new Hyatt House room was only $109 per night, free parking and no resort fees It was cheap but with a crappy free breakfast and free internet, no room service of any kind Cheap because it is mostly a college town and bedroom community with no nightlife for adults
