Garmin however, I believe owns the data that Lakemaster had provided in the past So, if you buy a garmin handheld, and buy the garmin chip or data, you are essentially getting a Lakemaster chip I own a Garmin Colorado and have recently downloaded the Midwest data directly onto my Colorado
