I have noticed that the DiscItemAgents table at our root level site contains some very old data, data which no longer exists at the child site which it originated from Are there any maintenance routines (or other methods) to clean this table out?

The reason why the Redirect Users To Drop Off Library is not working as expected could be because you may be having some Libraries in the site that are not the target for any Content Organizer Rules So either delete those redundent libraries or add content organizer rules which touch every single library

Secondly, the site server will evaluate each DDR it gets to see: 1 - is it a System resource and 2 - if so, is it assigned to the site based on the Boundaries We do that immediately when the site server receives the DDR from whatever discovery method or from a child site The ddm log is the one you'd watch to see if resources are assigned to a site or not
