Anybody want to weigh in?Since your friend has apparently never been to Indonesia before and probably doesn't speak Bahasa Indonesian, my advice is similar to MDII's - stay away from hotels in the northern end, instead stay in the Jalan Thamrin-to-Kuningan-to-Senayan-to-Blok M area
