The article was super helpful and had a lot of great info I’ve decided not to brumate them since it looks like I’d need a refrigerator and would also have to prep them for it I’ve had them for years, and they usually just slow down a bit in the winter even though I kept constant higher temps -and light cycle

Failure to brumate doesn't seem to stop our beloved tortoise species from reproducing, but I have to believe it does have endocrinological effects I don't skip brumation for any temperate reptile unless I have some reason to suspect they are unhealthy or unfit for it in some way I don't see bruamtion as some big monumental scary thing
