- Is there a (simple) way to filter circuit signals? : r factorio - Reddit
If a station has a deficit of an item, I put that item’s signal on the red wire Likewise, if a station can provide a train load of an item, I put that signal on the green wire Then if there’s a match of signals (e g an iron signal on the red and green wires) then I use Simple Circuit Trains to send a train to those stations

Re: Circuit Network: Filter Signal by Megatron » Mon Aug 08, 2016 12:18 am I has to work with every possible input size I found a way but its quirky The selector has to have a value of -2147483648 Split the input into positive and negative signals Add the selector to both which makes the desired signal flip it's sign
- HowTo: Filter Circuit Signals : r factorio - Reddit
One combinator per signal isn't exactly optimal In fact, if you want to filter a signal that way you can just use a single decider combinator instead of two arithmetic ones: Condition: desired signal != 0; Output: desired signal
- Circuit network signal filtering : r factorio - Reddit
Circuit network signal filtering Let's say you have a circuit network with a bunch of signals on it And you want to filter that set such that only a subset of the signals passes through to something else If that subset is exactly one signal, then this can easily be done by an arithmetic combinator that performs a no-op on that particular signal
- Is there a in one go way to filter multiple signals down to . . . - Reddit
What you can do is take one set of signals, normalize to 1, add a big number (like 10 million) to each, combine with the other set of signals, use a filter to only keep signals above 10 million, then remove ten million and one

That's why it works: by adding (negative bignum) before the filter and (positive bignum) after, the big number itself cancels out and you're left with just the true value in the logistics network Remember that wires themselves are not directional in Factorio All signal sources connected via the same colour of wire will add their values together
- Selector combinator - Factorio Wiki
The selector combinator is part of the circuit network and one of four types of combinators available in the game (the other three being the constant combinator, arithmetic combinator and decider combinator) It has four different modes of operation (or seven with Space Age enabled) to filter out various signals from an input wire Function The selector combinator can select a signal to output

Set the desired signals to a value of 1 in the constant combinator Attach the inputs to the decider combinator by the green wire (if you want to use red, switch the output from the right arithmetic to use green) Take the filtered output from the left-most combinator Only works for signals that are positive
