After YIFY was down, many copycats appeared, with the current one we know that still stands, YTS However, they have improved their encoding settings substantially, using higher bitrates in their releases, and are even pushing 5 1 audio in their 1080p along with 4K releases (which I'm not covering in this post due to lack of time and the fact they haven't released too many 4K movies yet)

the standards are for more than just speed, yeah speed is a factor but the consistency is not just a byproduct, in fact if you go and read some of the old rules for old encodes like xvid etc there were specific notes about encode settings so that they would play on most standard DVD players or fit on specific CD-R or DVD-R media
