I recently got an external SSD that has USB 3 1 and decided to run CrystalDiskMark tests against all the storage drives on my system I tested everything from my NVMe PCIe drive to my HDD SATA drive and I thought it might be interesting to share the results and get some commentary I'm running

CrystalDiskMark uses Microsoft's DiskSpd which you can download and use the cmdline to run tests manually diskspd ? For options switches diskspd -b1M -w100 -c1G -o16 -Sh write_test dat > write_test txt Would write with a 1MB block size, 100% write workload, to a 1GB file with 16 threads and direct I O, parsing the output to a text file

Here's the CrystalDiskInfo Screenshot: See how it shows the SSD being Drive E:? For Windows and CrystalDiskMark the SSD is Drive C:, I just ran the test again in CrystalDiskMark using drive E: and I got normal results: Gonna have to trace my slow boot elsewhere Thanks!

I use CrystalDiskMark and Info, but kaspersky doesnt flag it as malicious, might be a false positive I personally havent had any problems with it

hi i just tried my crystaldiskmark6 02 and 7 0 0h and the gui comes up, but it does not start running as admin 6 02 ran in the past, but its been a long time i have Windows 10 Professional (x64) Version 1909 (build 18363 836) 2 60 gigahertz Intel Core i7-5600U 16GB mem Samsung SSD 850

I have windows 7 on an HDD and Ubuntu 16 04 MATE on the SSD, GRUB2 is installed on the HDD and the SSD gets booted from the HDD I run CrystalDiskMark as Admin but only the HDD shows in the drop down list Both the BIOS and windows detect my SSD though [it shows up in device manager]

AS-SSD writes 5GB of incompressible test data per run CrystalDiskMark writes 20GB of incompressible test data per run How many time have your run AS-SSD? If you are running these benchmarks more than twice, then yes, your results will get lower and lower You're writing data in minutes to your drive that you probably don't write in weeks
