I'll test the ISC tomorrow to confirm it's bad, but suffice it to say something bad happened and completely fried the ISC driver The ECU seemed fine up until recently, when I installed the WB I mentioned this to Thomas, who seemed to think the WB install couldn't have caused the issue That was a relief

Recently the car has have some idle surge problems for a long time and I don't know what going wrong with it I have been replacing the ISC (used) and one of the IC that used to control the ISC motor couple years ago, the idle worked properly at that time,but for some reason,now it is idling

The ISC does this as a stepper motor under control of the ECU, which can finetune the idle rpm The Fast Idle Air Valve does this as a very coarse adjustment based on temperature

You want the ISC in the middle of it's range, while adjusting the BISS for optimal setting (Our idle should be 800 RPMs) But what exactly is the middle of it's range? If you log it, I think it goes anywhere from 0-100+ Does anybody have hard evidence on where it should properly be set @ idle with a logger using MMCD?

My ISC was only reading 47ohms on one coil, other three were in spec at 30ohms That small increase in coil resistance knocked out part of the ISC control circuit

The ISC basically gives you temp dependant idle changes Good for a normal car I would think but I don't need it anymore I"ll set the idle for warmed up and just crack the throttle a bit to get it warmed up when it's cold Now the only idle controls will be the BISS and ECU Much simpler for my purposes Plus I've got no AC and PS is soon to go

Is the 2g motor better than the 1G?? I am not sure which one to get and want to know what people have done with their cars and what is best as far as the ISC Thanks

For the original ISC (silver body with brown socket), values measured between pins 1 2, 2 3, 4 5 and 5 6 should be 28-33 ohms The newer (black) ISCs should measure about 40 ohms across those same pin combinations
